Erin Kane
In addition to being a community educator, Erin Kane volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association as a public policy advocate. This involves meeting with legislators to further government support for families living with the disease, in the Bay Area, Sacramento, and in Washington, D.C.
For 8 years, Erin was a caregiver for her mother, Helen, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2006. After her mother passed, she spent the next 8 years as a facilitator for a support group for adult-children caring for their parents.
She lives in San Rafael and works in the corporate conference industry as an event producer.

Lauren Hibdon

is the Family Services Manager for the North Bay Offices of the Alzheimer’s Association. She received her Masters of Science in Gerontology from San Diego State University and has been an advocate for clients and caregivers in various capacities for the last 20 years. Lauren began her gerontology career at Jewish Family Service in San Diego as a Geriatric Care Manager. She is passionate about working with individuals with memory loss and their families offering information, resources and support. When she is not at work, Lauren spends her time attending numerous cooking, doing yoga and playing board games with her husband and two daughters.
